It started with a feeling

The feeling of being seen —
but not for your work.
Not for your skills.
Not for what you know.

For your body.

For many, this feeling is familiar.
In workplaces.
In public spaces.
In moments when we are simply trying to exist.

We have lived it. I have lived it.

Working in male-dominated spaces — climbing ladders, reaching for tools, just doing my job — I learned early what it feels like to be watched in a way that my colleagues were not.

To be reduced to something visual
when you are offering something valuable.

That discomfort stayed with me.
And these slogans are my response.

 

“My body watched, not my work” was written to return the gaze.
To meet your eyes and say: I see what you’re doing.
To say that I am here to work — not to be consumed.

“Women, being.” was written to draw boundaries.
A refusal of everything that begins with women should be. 

Because women, just being, is enough.

“Feminist men are super cute.” was written to welcome. To invite allyship and equality.

Lamerla is for those who have had enough.
For those who expect more -
and for those who are simply being.
